Terms and Conditions of SIRC research competitions

  1. Entrants must be 16 years of age or over to enter the competition.
  2. Employees or workers (including their family members) at UK Sport, the English Institute of Sport or the Sports Councils of England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland are not permitted to enter.
  3. The winner could win 2 tickets to;
    1. Gymnastics World Championships, if you agreed to be contacted for follow-up research at the IPC Swimming, Pentathlon or Wheelchair Basketball events
    2. European Swimming Championships, if you agreed to be contacted for follow-up research at Canoe or Wheelchair Rugby events
    3. Track Cycling World Championships, if you completed the online follow-up research questionnaire following a study in 2014
  4. Please note these tickets will be for one session of the event only and will not be transferable.
  5. The 2 tickets must include at least 1 adult ticket as children must be accompanied by an adult.
  6. The tickets do not include travel and accommodation which are the responsibility of the winner.
  7. Tickets will not be sent to the winner but will be made available for collection at the venue’s box office. The winner will need to produce proof of identification (including proof of age) and email confirmation of the tickets, otherwise they could be refused access to tickets.
  8. The Competition will close;
    1. following the conclusion of the Wheelchair Basketball European Championships on Sunday 6 September 2015
    2. following the conclusion of the BT World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge on Friday 16 October 2015
    3. on 17 August the follow-up research questionnaire closes
  9. The draw will include all questionnaire respondents who provide valid contact details for follow-up research studies and will take place at SIRC offices;
    1. in the week commencing 21 September
    2. in the week commencing 2 November
    3. in the week commencing 24 August
    4. (The above dates are subject to change.)
  10. Winners will be contacted by UK Sport to establish which date/session of the event they wish to attend. UK Sport will use its best efforts to secure tickets to the winner’s preferred date/session. If the winner’s preferred date/session is not available then an alternative will be offered. UK Sport will not be liable to the winner if the winner cannot attend any of the available sessions/days.
  11. The winner cannot exchange the tickets for an alternative prize or cash prize or transfer tickets to another person.
  12. We will not pass your name, e mail address, phone number to third parties except for the winner whose name will be passed on to the venue for the purpose of ticket collection. All entrants personal information will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If you have registered for further information and offers on the Road to Rio event series, you consent that UK Sport will communicate with you via email about them.
  13. Entrants consent to their names being released for the purposes of announcing the winner.
  14. UK Sport reserves the right to cancel this competition at any time.
  15. Tickets are strictly not for resale and must only be used by the named winner of the competition.
