The network of agencies that are involved in the ICES initiative represent a diverse group of community sport stakeholders, organisations and agencies. The common link between network members is a focus on quality education, development and support of community coaches.

Levels of Engagement with ICES

Any individual or organisation can receive information and updates about initiatives from across the ICES Network and wider community sports field. To sign up for our quarterly newsletter please send an email to ICES@uksport.gov.uk.

ICES network members are engaged at the following levels.

Level 1 - Network Membership
Membership of the ICES Network enabling access to web based ICES platforms and seminars.

Level 2 - Mapping and Exchange
Undertake mapping which supports benchmarking and quality assurance of coach education and development. Provide access to ICES resources and exchange activities*.

Level 3 – Bespoke System Development Support
Bespoke technical support for coach education and development initiatives from the ICES team or other ICES network members*.

* These work areas require resource investment from the network member, external funder or UKS/II

Network Members

The ICES Network currently includes members from the following areas:

  • Asian Sub-Continent
  • Caribbean
  • East Africa
  • Europe
  • Oceania
  • South America
  • South Africa 

How to become a member

Membership to the ICES Network is through an application process. This is to ensure there is a good fit between organisations looking to join the Network and the objectives and approach of ICES. If you are interested in becoming a member please send an e-mail to ICES@uksport.gov.uk.
