Chris Walker

Chris Walker

Chris Walker joined UK Sport as Finance Director on 3 July 2008. He was appointed following a National Audit Office recommendation that a financial role at Director Level would be of benefit to the organisation going forward.

A qualified chartered accountant and tax practitioner, he was previously with the National Theatre, joining at a time of considerable expansion and going on to lead a team of 16 people over the next six years. Prior to that he worked for the North West Arts Board  - a primary distributor of Lottery funding in support of the arts.
