Jason Kenny has added individual Olympic gold to his team success after beating French world champion Gregory Bauge 2-0 in the men’s sprint final.
Kenny, who also won gold alongside Sir Chris Hoy and Phillip Hindes in the team event last week, added a personal title as he took revenge on Bauge for a defeat at the World Championships in Melbourne earlier this year.
His win takes GB’s medal tally in the velodrome to an exceptional five golds and one bronze, with Hoy, Victoria Pendleton and Laura Trott all hoping to add further medals tomorrow.
