Winter Olympic gold medalist Amy Williams was among those in sport recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Williams received an MBE for her performance in Vancouver where she became the first individual British Winter Olympic gold medalist since 1980.
Retired Badminton player Donna Kellogg received an MBE in recognition of her successful 12-year career in which she won Commonwealth and European gold medals in the doubles.
Meanwhile, Rod Carr, UK Sport Board Member and former Chief Executive of the Royal Yachting Association, received a CBE for his services to sailing.
He said: “I feel incredibly proud to be awarded this honour. It was an honour in itself to lead the RYA during a period of significant change and development for our sport.
"Without the support of an army of committed volunteers, the RYA Staff and my family, my contribution and effectiveness would have been greatly diminished. Not many people are fortunate enough to have had a career in an activity that is their passion; I count myself as extremely privileged.”
