KAREN O’NEILL, CEO of the Commonwealth Games Association of Canada (CGAC), visited UK Sport today for a meeting on a number of issues.
The purpose of Karen’s visit was to discuss a variety of topics, including the Commonwealth Sports Development Programme, the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) and the CHOGM Committee on Co-operation through Sport (CCCS).

After the meeting Karen commented:
"CGAC continues to be delighted at the ongoing partnership we share with the UK at several levels - using sport as a development tool; exchanging information and expertise; and creating a common ground on sporting issues that has proved both inspiring and supportive.
"CGAC looks forward to developing its relationship with UK Sport in the future."
THE MEETING was very positive and reinforced the healthy working relationship that currently exists between UK Sport and CGAC. There were a number of action points arising from the meeting that will be reported on as they evolve.
